Nia Clarke has been making music ever since she could talk! It’s a primary mode of communication for her; allowing communication of her thoughts and feelings to flow to both band and audience.
Her parents were jazz and reggae musicians so improvisation and collaboration have always felt like home ground; and along with a relaxed and super soulful delivery and some beautiful vocal harmonies are key elements in her music and live performances.

Zinzi is a South East London born singer, multi instrumentalist and producer heavily influenced by soul, jazz, hiphop and rock. She creates energy, luscious harmonies and poetic lyrics to her delightful music.

Her life has been shaped by the struggles and challenges of her family's heritage. From generational trauma to living through war, Yaz has experienced it all. But through it all, she has found solace in music. Through her songs, she shares with us the deepest and most personal experiences of her life. She takes us on a journey through her family's history, and the resilience they have shown in the face of adversity.
