Twang Music Foundation

Twang Guitars Ltd and Twang Music Academy Ltd have formed a music charity foundation which aims to make music tuition accessible to all through working with local schools and in our local community.

OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO:
  • Provide high quality music workshops, one-to-one music tuition, clubs and summer schools to children and groups of young people who would otherwise not be able to access this vital means of self-expression and discovery.

  • Provide musical instruments to schools and students.

  • Host various musical fundraising events, encourage instrument donations and selling merchandise.

Musical Equipment Donations

Do you have musical instruments or equipment that you no longer use?

Please consider donating them to The Twang Music Foundation.

Your donated instrument will be used by children and staff for various TMF music projects. Your donation will inspire a child to start on their musical journey and give them the chance to practice and become proficient on their chosen instrument.

Don't worry if your instrument its damaged or needs some attention.

We have the capability of fixing up and renovating a variety of instruments and equipment, which might otherwise be considered a write-off.

We hope that you can help us, or please consider mentioning our appeal to a friend.

We had a visit from our local Labour MP Ellie Reeves who posted this lovely message on facebook.

"Penge's much loved Twang Guitars have launched Twang Music Foundation which aims to provide music projects, lessons & instruments to children in Bromley who wouldn't otherwise access music tuition. Such an amazing thing for them to do & I'm proud to support them".

I’m pleased to make a donation to the Twang Foundation in memory of my dear mum and dad, Olive and Roy Manning. They always said, “You can’t stay sad when making music” and believed every child deserves a chance to try things in a supportive environment.

I have owned these lovely instuments for 20 years and they are in fantastic condition. I decided to donate them to the Twang Music Foundation so that young people can further their musical education and enjoy using them.

‘Learning music gives a person something precious for their whole lives and it’s great that the Foundation helps young people, whatever their backgrounds are, to discover that precious thing. That’s why I support your brilliant work.

Thank you.

Kelsey was very excited to receive a Roland Electronic keyboard generously donated by George E Harris, who is delighted it will be used to further Kelsey's musical education.

It formerly belonged to Alison O'Melia who sadly passed away in 2020. Alison
was a highly trained musician, teacher and music therapist who studied at Derby and Angela Ruskin Universities. She went on to become the Head of Music Therapy MA at Derby University and a music therapy practitioner, working within autism and then people with brain injuries.

Kelsey sings in the choir at Alexander Junior School and has lessons with us here at Twang.

It is very kind of you to donate this keyboard to Kelsey, I know she is enjoying using it very much.
